Join our hands-on community robotics team and experience the excitement of designing, building, programming, and competing with robots! This program is open to students in 6th through 12th grade who are not enrolled in Owatonna Public Schools and want to be part of a collaborative, competitive robotics team. As a community-based robotics team, we compete independently and are not affiliated with the Minnesota State High School League. This provides an opportunity for homeschool students, private school students, and other eligible youth to participate in a competitive robotics program in a supportive team environment. Parent involvement is essential to our success! We are actively seeking parent coaches and volunteers to assist with mentoring students, organizing team activities, coordinating competitions, and supporting the program. Discover the fastest game on two feet! Our Lacrosse camp introduces the basics of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting ina fun, non-checking environment. This is a 100% non-contact program—helmets and pads are optional. We provide the sticks andballs; just bring your energy!

Give your child a head start with our 4-day Sports Sampler TYKES camp! This exciting program features two days of Athleticism and two days of Basketball, helping young athletes build confidence while developing fundamental movement and sport-specific skills. Through fun, age-appropriate games and drills, children improve agility, balance, coordination, dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork in a safe, positive environment. Our coaches make every session active, engaging, and enjoyable for all skill levels. What to bring: Water bottle, athletic clothing, and athletic shoes. We provide the basketballs and all necessary equipment. Parent Participation: Required for ages 2–3; recommended for ages 4+ when extra support is needed.

Step up to the plate! T-Ball TYKES is the perfect introduction to baseball, focusing on throwing, fielding, catching, andbatting. We build towards an exciting "Game Day" finale where athletes showcase their skills. Bring your own baseballglove and a water bottle; we provide the bats and balls. Parent Participation: Required for ages 2–3; recommended forages 4–6 when extra support is needed.

Driver Education Training is required for students who wish to obtain their driver’s license before their 18th birthday. Driver Education Training by state law must consist of thirty (30) hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Students must attend the 30 hours of instruction offered on the dates and times listed. Every session must be attended, unless ill, but even then, those hours must be made up. It is recommended, but not required, that students be 15 years old by the last day of class. Registration includes both classroom and behind the wheel instruction. The Owatonna Driver Education program is approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and is taught by certified licensed instructors. This class is for participants who are 14.5 years or older before the start of classes. Please Note: There will be a “Parent Packet” that your child will bring home on the first day of class. This packet will explain all the steps necessary for your child to obtain a permit and license. This packet must be signed and returned to the Driver Education classroom for successful classroom completion. A 1.5hr Parent Class for the parents of a new student driver will be offered at the Owatonna High School. Attendance in this class is not mandatory. More information on the Parent Class will be provided in the Parent Packet mentioned above. Students do not need to attend the Parent Class.
