Gals Night Out: Minnspired Clay Creations!Special InterestRound up your gals and get ready for a Minnspired night of creativity, connection, and a little clay-covered fun! During this laid-back evening, you’ll explore the art of clay while drawing inspiration from all things Minnesota. Think cozy cabin vibes, lake days, loon motifs, pine trees, and maybe even your favorite hotdish dishware! You’ll be guided through a variety of techniques including wheel throwing, hand-building, and slab work to create pieces that are both functional and uniquely you. Whether you’re crafting a mug for your morning coffee, a dish for your lakeside snacks, or a handmade gift with a little “Uff da” flair, this class is all about experimenting, relaxing, and enjoying the process. No experience necessary. Your pieces will be bisque fired, glazed in the color of your choosing, and fired a second time. Once finished, your creations will be microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. Minnspired River ProtectorsSpecial InterestJoin educators from Clean River Partners for hands-on fun in this family-friendly workshop and take home a booklet of conservation-related activities you can do with your family! Similar to the National Park Service Junior Rangers program, kids will have the opportunity to earn a Clean River Rangers badge after the class by completing a total of six challenges from a handbook. During the workshop, we’ll explore water pollution through an exciting activity, then get a head start on completing one or two of the challenges.
