This camp experience includes running, agility, jumping, hopping, and balance/body control. Camp consists of many different types of activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to introduce participants to all the components of being an athlete. Downtown Owatonna Walking TourTrips-ToursDiscover the past 150 years of Owatonna's history. If you are new to our city or if you have lived here a long time, this tour is filled with interesting and historical facts! Your curiosity of certain downtown landmarks will be answered! Our guide will share the history of many buildings and stories of the people who lived and worked downtown. We will cover about 1.5 miles. Driver EducationDriver Education through Community Education provides teens and new drivers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to navigate the road safely and responsibly. Our program combines classroom instruction with behind-the-wheel practice, covering traffic laws, safe driving strategies, hazard recognition, and defensive driving techniques. Experienced instructors provide personalized guidance in a supportive, hands-on environment, helping participants develop good driving habits and build confidence behind the wheel. Courses are designed to prepare students for their licensing tests while emphasizing safety, responsibility, and awareness. Driver Education 2025-2026 School YearDriver EducationDriver Education Training is required for students who wish to obtain their driver’s license before their 18th birthday. Driver Education Training by state law must consist of thirty (30) hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Students must attend the 30 hours of instruction offered on the dates and times listed. Every session must be attended, unless ill, but even then, those hours must be made up. It is recommended, but not required, that students be 15 years old by the last day of class. Registration includes both classroom and behind the wheel instruction. The Owatonna Driver Education program is approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and is taught by certified licensed instructors. This class is for participants who are 14.5 years or older before the start of classes. Please Note: There will be a “Parent Packet” that your child will bring home on the first day of class. This packet will explain all the steps necessary for your child to obtain a permit and license. This packet must be signed and returned to the Driver Education classroom for successful classroom completion. A 1.5hr Parent Class for the parents of a new student driver will be offered at the Owatonna High School. Attendance in this class is not mandatory. More information on the Parent Class will be provided in the Parent Packet mentioned above. Students do not need to attend the Parent Class.Driver Education 2025-2026 -

Drone RacingYouth EnrichmentStudents will learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once they learn the basics of flying, they’ll assemble their very own drone which they can optionally purchase during the camp. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running.
