Attend this complimentary, in-person class and learn about the benefits of rain gardens and how to plan and install your own. We'll kick off the class with a short field trip to see a rain garden in action at a residential property and hear maintenance tips from the homeowner. You'll learn where to put your rain garden, how to choose the right plants, and what cost-share programs exist to help you pay for the project. Please bring your questions and your ideas! Bring your broken items and your curiosity to Steele County’s next Fix-It Clinic! Skilled volunteer Fixers will help you troubleshoot and repair household items—like lamps, toasters, clothing, or small electronics—while you learn how it’s done. Each participant may bring up to two items to work on during the event. Together, we’ll save money, reduce waste, build our skills, and keep useful things out of the landfill!
